SIVA believes that such actions of human beings in protecting, managing and governing the common natural resources (commons) could solve the issue of poverty. It is the commons that sustains ecosystems and bio-diversity. The healthy ecosystems ensures all ecosystem services without which no living being can survive.
However, the main stream public policies, nature-alienated life style and global capital driven growth agenda vehemently attempt to convert the commons in to private assets for wealth accumulation. In order to pursue the perilous process, the forces of mammon first destroy the native culture and traditional wisdom. SIVA is committed towards rebuilding the native culture.
